Anterion Blackmon '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Anterion Blackmon from Ada Taylor, Louisiana. I am a Senior attending Gibsland-Coleman High School located in Gibsland, LA. I'm a 6'2, point/shooting guard with a very high IQ for the game of basketball. I've had a passion for basketball since my early childhood, learning the game from my older brother and neighborhood friends. My biggest accomplishments during my years in high school for me were winning the best shooter in the district playing at varsity level, 2nd Team District my sophomore and junior year. I also played AAU for different teams over the summer. I believe i have the qualities to become a leader at the collge level through my hardwork, dedication, and focus. My parents always told me my grades come before basketball and a college degree is more important than anything. I have a dream of playing college basketball for a program that have a good academic program as well. I'm currently undecided where i wants to go to school at since it is so hard to get any college exposure at the small school i attend. My brother always push me to be the best because he knows the type of talent i have to play at the college level. My goals are to continue to work harder than other athletes to try and better my game. I was once told "Good Players are Made, and not Born", so hopefully my hardwork will pay off one day. But for now I'm focused on my Senior year, hoping to carry my team far as i can possibly can. I WILL MAKE A LOT OF NOISE THIS YEAR. I can write all day and brag about myself, but im going to let my basketball play do the talking.
