I found myself at the end of middle school knowing if I wanted to go to the next level in playing basketball, I had to leave the small, private school I had been attending. Academically, it was strong. Athletically, it was not. I knew my parents and for sure my teachers and principal wanted me to stay where I was. But, I knew I had to change. I made a tough decision switched schools and ended up being the player I am today finishing my senior season with multiple 1st team awards and all tournament team honors from different events. This taught me that when things get hard and when nothing is going your way that's when it is the time to put your head down and keep working even harder to push past adversity.
