Personal Statement
The accrual of my experiences over these 19 years has inspired me to achieve results on and off the court. I have spent the last 12 years playing increasing levels of basketball on school and league teams. As the tallest player on many teams (currently, around 6'4"), I have played various positions, but I am often placed as a power forward, small forward, and/ or a center. To stay rounded and work my muscle groups in other ways, I have also have participated in 4 and 8 man crew events, triathlons, and short distance track events.
In addition to my passion for basketball, I have held positions on the senior level in the Demolay organization. Through this role, I assist with a local charity called The Ryan House project. This has given me the opportunity to be a leader in my community and help others around me. The senior positions tie in to my experience as a basketball referee and camp counselor for a local organization over the past few years. As in the organization, I continue to assist others to achieve their potential in confidence, communication and physical fitness.
These experiences make me an asset to your team as a leader and a cohesive bond to bring a team together and provide encouragement for excellence in games, workouts and community interaction.
