Eddie Scott '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello and welcome to my profile. My name is Eddie Scott. I am currently a 16-year-old combo guard in the class of 2019. I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA, and I am also a member of my school's chapter of the National Honor Society. As of January 2018, I am 6'3 and possess a 6'8 wingspan. My doctors have projected me to reach somewhere between 6'4-6'6 when I am finished growing. Academically, you will have no issues with me, as I am a great student and I understand that I will be attending college as a student-athlete, with the student aspect coming first.

Basketball-wise, I am a winner. I was born as a competitor, and I want to win and be the best in everything that I do. Basketball has been a part of my life from a very early age, so I have a great feel and IQ for the game. I am a lights-out shooter who can score the ball on all three levels: at the basket, mid-range, and from 3. I am a good passer and look to set my teammates up for easy points. I am an exceptional rebounder for my height and position, and this is one of the aspects of basketball that I pride myself on and enjoy the most. I am an athletic guard with the ability to dunk with ease. My athleticism translates over to my defense, where my long wingspan and competitiveness help me do well on that side of the ball also. I am a leader, constantly encouraging my teammates and telling players where to be at the right times when needed. This past season, I averaged 15 points and 6 rebounds as a junior in the MIAA A Conference, one of the most competitive high school conferences in the nation.

Last but not least, my passion and work ethic tie all of the aforementioned attributes together. Because I love this game so much, I am willing to put in all the work necessary to become the best I can possibly be, and to make my team the best it can be. I am addicted to getting better and working on my craft. If I am not with my family, at church, or at school, you can find me in the gym improving my skills. If I am not there, then you will find me in the weight room, working to become the best athlete I can be.
