Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Joshua Alexander Doakes. I am in the graduating class of 2022 at Bishop McNamara High School in Forestville, Maryland. I am a 6’4” 195 pound Varsity Small Forward/Guard. My primary position is the 3 Guard, however, I can play the 2 if needed. In me, you will get a physical player who plays defense with heart and will bang against the big men for rebounds. I am a relentless scorer with good vision. I am extremely hardworking. I will outwork anybody, and I am a team player. I will put in the effort everyday for the betterment of the team. Off the court, I am a very good and well-rounded student. Currently I have a 2.8 G.P.A. I am responsible, reliable and respectful. I will show up on time, every time. I'll do what I'm asked to do, when I'm asked to do it, and with a good attitude. I dream of playing Division 1 basketball, but I am willing to play for any school that accepts me and can utilize my skills. I will be an asset to any team looking for a solid basketball player who is also a good student and a good person.
