Personal Statement
My passion for basketball started early at the age of two watching my older sister play. At the age of three, my parents saw my love to play, and this is when my journey began. I did not realize at the time how much I needed basketball. As a military child, I moved every two years which made it very difficult to have friends and call someplace home. For me, home was everywhere. I realized that basketball was my home away from home and my second family. Not only did this give me the drive to do great on the court but the importance of a team, the brotherhood, and the basketball family. Everyday I strive to be a better man, student, athlete, teammate, and son because I have learned the importance and the impact each role has in my life, on and off the court.
