Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Josiah Scott I attend Havre de Grace high school in the small town of Havre de Grace Maryland. Ever since I was young watching my older cousins play basketball I knew I wanted to play too. What makes me a great fit for any team is that I am a natural born leader, but what makes me different is that in order to be a leader you must first learn how to follow. And through my younger years learning how to follow has helped me learned more than others because of my ability to listen and apply what I am taught. I have a lot of individual achievements but I feel that they mean nothing if I'm not helping my team get the job done and win games. I would rather be on the best team to ever play than be the best player to ever play so I'm not a selfish person. As a point guard I feel that I'm on the court not to just handle the ball but to put other players in their spots so they can be successful and so our team can be successful. I would be grateful for the opportunity to play college basketball which would be fulfilling a lifelong dream and I am open to all opportunities that God would place into my life.
