My name is Curtis Valentine and I am a member of the Frederick Douglass High School (MD) class of 2026. I participate in the prestigious Pathways in Technology College High School (PTECH) program where I am earning an Associates Degree in Hospitality Management while also earning my high school diploma.
I would be a good candidate for your team because I am an elite shooter who takes pride in playing defense. I am different because I have more experience than most players as I am the only player who have played varsity both my freshman and sophomore years in the competitive DC Metro Area. I have also earned a place on the selective DC Premiere 15U on the HoopGroup Circuit where we won numerous tournaments.
In addition to basketball I am an outstanding student who was recently invited to apply to my school's chapter of the National Honor Society after making the honor roll every semester since I began high school. I was completed two years of the selective Maryland Leadership Workshop where we were taught leadership skills that I apply to the basketball court.
I hope you receive this personal statement as an invitation to further evaluate me.
