I have been playing basketball for as long as I can remember, I joined my first club team in 4th grade, but before that I played for years with my family who have a rich history and love of the game who taught me the fundamentals and more importantly the love and passion for the sport. I am always dribbling the ball and some people think I probably have it physically attached to me some way. I live and most importantly love the game. In the 2013 season I decided to dedicate myself to basketball (I played lacrosse and football). I train every day I can, if not in the gym, then in my yard/street. Most nights of the week I attend skills training, strength & conditioning, and a team practice or focused skill training.
I play basketball year round in both town travel leagues and AAU or other club teams. During the summer I attend as many camps as I could. In 2014 I attended Nike basketball camp at Curry College with an overall score of 2; I attended Five Star Basketball camp at Springfield College (my team won the overall championship); I attended another Five Star basketball camp at camp Wah' Nee in Torrington, CT two weeks later. I also made time to attend my Boy Scout summer camp at Camp Hinds in Sabago, ME and earned 5 merit badges. During the time I was not away at camps I also participated in various training (skills and strength) and supported a town summer travel team. Not a day goes by that I do not play, shoot, practice or train.
I started off the 2014 season with my 1st showcase event at Hooprootz were I was listed as one of the standout players (guard) for the event with the following review "Strong complimentary back-court player who uses his skill and understanding of the game to serve as a valuable asset to his squad. Moves without the ball and will knock down the open-shot while facilitating for his teammates on both sides of the ball." - Hooprootz
My goals are to work as hard as I can every day to be the best basketball player I can to support my team, but most importantly I want to continue to work as hard as I can but never stop loving "the game". While I do this I want to continue to work hard on my academics and earn my BSA Eagle rank.
