My name is Adam Khanboubi, and I attend Pioneer Charter School of Science in Everett, Massachusetts. I accomplished having a GPA over 4.0 while taking rigorous honors classes. As a result of my high GPA, I was recommended to take AP classes such as Chemistry, Computer Science A, and Microeconomics. This year, I was accepted to join National Honor Society in the 2019-2020 school year. I was also obtained an opportunity to intern as an epidemiologist and bio-statistical analyst at Brigham's Women's Hospital. I have made it to the science fair three times in a row, I was the fourth person in school history to advance with the same project because of the all the improvements that I implemented made the project work better than the year before.
My love of basketball started when I was five years old, my dad and I would watch every Celtics game and national televised games on ESPN or TNT. Since, I was a big Boston Celtics fan, I was very happy to witness the formation of the Boston "Three-party." I truly loved step back of Paul Pierce, I been practicing very hard to add that to my arsenal. Then, seeing Ray Allen shoot all those threes, he greatly influenced me to become a consistent three point shooter. Kevin Garnett inspired me to possess that swagger and confidence when on the court. It contributed in intimidating my opponents, and showing everyone that I'm going 110 percent on the court.
Bear Bryant once said, “If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride – and never quit, you’ll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards.”
Life isn’t easy nor hard, life is an independent variable that is controlled by his/her ambition. If you work hard in the early years of your life and overcome every obstacle and barrier that is constantly being thrown at you. As a result, much of his/her life will be easy, that is what I am currently doing right now. The finish line will seem far away, but once you cross it everything will be just fine. Bear Bryant had always inspired me, and that quote had always stood out in my life. I would be a great asset to any basketball program due to my love of basketball and willing to learn new skills that can help me become a better player for many years to come.
