Personal Statement
My name is Hunter Byron. I am 6’1” and currently a Junior at Plymouth North High School in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
I have loved basketball since I first picked up a ball.
I have played for Plymouth North Basketball Associations Travel teams through Junior High School as a Small Forward and Power Forward, I have averaged 12 points a game when playing in this capacity.
I played on the P.C.I.S. 7-8 Grade basketball teams for two years.
In the spring of 2019, I was a Small Forward with HST AAU 8th Grade team in which we won several national tournaments, claiming a bid to go to the Finals at ESPN's Wide World of Sports in Orlando in July of 2019. Our team came away with third place in that series despite missing a few of our key players who could not make the trip.
I am currently a Shooting Guard with HST AAU 11th Grade Varsity team and working on advancing my strengths in different capacities on defense as well as offense.
My ultimate collegiate goal would be a school that helps advance not only my academics, but my basketball aspirations to play beyond college.
I feel I would be a good candidate for a team because I am the first to enter the gym and the last to leave for practice, am a hard worker, team player, one of the best three-point shooters on my team, am respectful and pay attention when Coach is speaking.
