Personal Statement
When I was about 5 years old, I was first introduced to basketball. In the beginning, I hated everything to do with basketball, but once I made my first shot in a game, I immediately fell in love. From then on out I worked my tail off to try and become the best basketball player I could. Now that the part of my life where I need to start thinking about college has rolled around, I hope to continue playing basketball throughout college. My goal for college is to be an all-conference player, no matter what division or team I am on. Also, I would love to win a conference championship. I think I would be a good candidate for a team because I will always try to out work everyone, and I am a team player. I am always trying to win, so I will do anything the team needs to. If that means scoring, I will. If that means rebounding, I will. I think I'm different from other recruits because of my work ethic. As I previously stated, I am willing to out work anyone to get the chance to play basketball, and if I am blessed to play college basketball, I will continue to work on my game to try and be the best player I can be. This attitude of working hard is also seen in the classroom, where I always put in my best effort to achieve the highest grades I can at school. Lastly, I think I am a good person. I consider myself someone who will always listen to people and give them my honest opinion. I think this translates well on the court because it means that we communicate together, and communication in vital to the success of a basketball team.
