I found my passion for the game of basketball when I was in sixth grade. From that moment forward, I wanted to play basketball not only in high school, but in college as well. This was about the time when I went to my first real basketball camp. Coach Jason Otter had asked the group of campers to think about what our goals are with the game of basketball. Then, he asked if we were working hard enough and smart enough to obtain those goals. I decided right then and there that I would work as hard and as smart as I could to accomplish my goal. This is where I began to form my work ethic. I always work as hard as I can in the gym, in our garage, or on the driveway the same as I do in the classroom. I approach my workouts and my schoolwork with the same intensity and attention to detail. This has allowed me to not only have success in the classroom, but on the court as well. My family has also played a huge role in laying a foundation for me in life. They have instilled strong Christian values, which influences every aspect of my life.
