Austin Roth '15 Recruiting Profile

AUSTIN ROTH:

I am a junior at Seaholm High, in Birmingham Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. Seaholm is a very pristine high school, in which academics are very competitive, which pushes every student, including myself to reach my full potential academically. I have obtained a 3.7 cumulative GPA after my first 3 years in high school and take academics very seriously.

Once I finish my school work, I am off to the court or weight-room where I find myself most at home.I love the process of getting better and the possibilities of what can be achieved with hard work. Last season I was the sixth man on the varsity Basketball team, trying to find my role throughout the year. It was a year of ups and downs, but more so a year of learning experiences and something I believe I have grown from. During my time on the court I was a spark plug and one who could get quick and easy offense off the bench, but this coming year look forward to a blossomed role as the go-to scorer and leader. Other than basketball i also have a role in the community participating in many different roles with community service and also a membership in the National Honor Society. 

I would love to attend a university that excels in both basketball and academics, so I could see myself grow as a student-athlete. I look forward to finding a school that I can have an immediate impact both in the classroom, on the court, and throughout the campus. 

Overall I love basketball and all of the life lessons that can be learned from it. I look at it as much more than a game, and look forward to what the game has in store for my future.
