Personal Statement

My name is Drake Baar and I am a 6 foot 8 inch junior center from Comstock Park, MI. Basketball is a very big part of my life and playing college basketball has always been a dream of mine. I want to play at any size school I can, preferably close to home. I aspire to be the best player I can be whenever I am on the court and I try to improve everyday. I was named OK-Blue First Team All-Conference and second team All Area North this year as a junior. I have started on varsity since my sophomore year and played JV my freshman year. Coach Scott Berry and the staff named me the Most Improved player last season and I was honored as the Most Valuable Player on the JV team as a freshman. I started as a wide receiver on our varsity football team as a sophomore and junior that made it to the semifinals in the state playoffs 2 years in a row. I have a 3.97 GPA and I also scored a 30 on the ACT.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
