Personal Statement
First and foremost, my goal is to be successful in the field of Marine Biology. While achieving that goal, I aspire to be a college basketball player. I have been playing basketball since I was 8 years old and have never wavered in my passion to play the sport. As a sophomore starting on Varsity, I had to take a step back and learn from my brother (who was a senior and captain on the team) how to be a leader.
I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me both athletically and academically. I play with passion. I have great work-ethic, I am dedicated and I want to make everyone around me better. During my freshman year, I was ranked 84th in the country, but due to a few injuries, I had to take time off to heal. During that time I worked diligently and with a passion to maneuver past those obstacles and make my dream of playing college basketball a reality. I believe I have the talent to compete for a college team and the leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!
I am also grateful that I am part of a great coaching staff at Grosse Pointe North and I feel that the coaches, along with my teachers, counselors and my family have helped prepare me for the next level.
