Personal Statement
I believe in reaching higher.
This goes beyond basketball. This applies to everything that I do. From being a great person, student and teammate, I give my all no matter the situation.
My goals and aspirations are to achieve academic excellence, gain a scholarship and to play basketball at the collegiate level. I achieved my goal to make the varsity team as a sophomore, while maintaining my honor roll status.
I am a great candidate because I believe in hard work – I’m not afraid of it. Actually, I embrace it. While I can’t control the roster choices the coaches make, I can control the effort and dedication that I put into every scrimmage and practice. I know that’s where impact players are separated from ordinary players.
What makes me different? I am unselfish, I give maximum effort and I’m a person who puts the team first. I pride myself in getting the team involved. I believe there is no such thing as perfect, so I’m dedicated to always improving. Always reaching higher.
