Personal Statement

I fell in love with the game of basketball in 6th grade. I made the varsity team in 8th grade. I became a starter on the varsity team my freshman year. I believe I grew as a player my freshman year when I had to step up and show my coach what I could do for the team. He started to rely on me to take the last shot. My sophomore year was even better. I improved my overall game and became more valuable to the team. Starting my junior year of basketball was rough at the start as I was coming back from ankle surgery, but I showed my coach that I am the same player I was before the surgery. I became a captain that year and gave my team my full leadership. Now going into my senior year, I hope to improve my game more and build our team stronger.

I am glad to be part of a great program and winning our conference  title. I learned how to be a great leader, have an outstanding commitment and working well with the team. I'm looking for a great program that will fit me athletically  and academically. I believe I not only have the talent to play college ball but also have the commitment, work ethic, leadership, and character to make an impact on your program. As a three sport athlete, I believe I have what it takes to be part of your program!

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
