Personal Statement
My name is Micah Thompson, a 6'6" point guard from Perham, MN. I am a midwest Minnesota kid who has grown up in the country, raised with high academic standards and strong work ethic. I have been raising animals since I was 5, and this has given me discipline and accountability. I am looking for a college with high academic standards, a solid athletic program, and a campus that is welcoming. I will bring my strong work ethic to whatever program I choose, focusing on intense defense, while also bringing a strong understanding of the game that I learned growing up the youngest of three brothers, a father who was a coach, and a mother who loves talking about all aspects of the game of basketball. I am a versatile player with my ability to handle the ball, see the court, shoot pull-ups or go to the hoop. I am a person who wants to lead his teammates on the court to play at their highest level, and I look for opportunities in what the defense gives to help everyone achieve.
