Hey,I am Denniston Leonard. I am a 16 year old sophomore that attends Ray Brooks High School in Benoit,Mississippi. The school that I attend is a small school, but we work very hard to accomplish our goals. The town is also small,no one thinks that I can make it from just a small school and town. I know that if I do what I have to do on the court, and especially in the classroom, that I have a good chance of being recruited. I am the type of person that works very hard for what I want in life. As I was told by my coach ''Iron Sharpens Iron''. When I first heard that,I had no idea what that meant, but now I know. You cannot sharpen iron with no other object than iron itself. Also I was told that I shouldn't regret a game in my life, even if it was my worst game because it could have been my last time playing, even in my worst times,I am still supposed to give my best. I put God first in everything that I do because he is the reason that I wake up every morning. I put my family and my coach second because they are the people that believe in me and push me no matter what the circumstances are. My education comes third because I know that without an education,I am useless.Education means everything when it comes down to life. I put basketball last, because I have to. I love the game of basketball but without any of the 1st , 2nd , or 3rd things that I put before it,it wouldn't be possible for me to succeed. I hope this statement informs you well on what type of person I am.
''Nothing comes easy in life, you have to work, work, work, and work some more until you achieve your goals, after you do that, you still have to work because the wait nothing stops''
