Caleb Thompson '22 Recruiting Profile

Since my sophomore year, I have been one of the starting five as a Small Forward on Varsity Basketball at Westminster Christian Academy. This season our “Wildcat” team finished 2nd Place in the State Finals (2021 MSHSAA State Boys Basketball Class 4) and we were the 2019-2020 District Champions. I believe my high school coach would agree that I played an instrumental role in helping our team achieve these milestones. Additionally, for two consecutive seasons (2021 & 2022) I was named as an Honorable Mention on the “All-Metro League Team” and in 2021 an Honorable mention on the  “All-District Team. I am a versatile player with a “team-first” attitude, whose strengths consist of On-ball defense, slashing/penetrating, rebounding, making plays happen, and mid-range shooting. 

Furthermore, I had an extremely productive summer playing on the “AAU Circuit” with Gateway Knights. My performances at both The Platform in Birmingham and 2K21 in Indianapolis were highlighted by Prep Hoops Missouri for my being a double-double threat, my athleticism, and my hard work ethic.  They also identified me as one of the “top in-state Class of 2022 forwards”.

In season and out, whether on the court, in practice, or in the classroom, my character, my team-first attitude, my work ethic coupled with effort, my eagerness to learn, and my teachableness are invaluable qualities that I am committed to bringing to any team for which I play.
