Personal Statement
I haven't played basketball for as long as I would've liked. I only started playing my 7th-grade year and I was so terrible that I never played. Even though I wasn't very good I fell in love with the game and I was determined to get better. I worked all summer and the next season I started on my 8th-grade team. I realized it was gonna take more than one off-season of working hard to be a good player when I didn't make Varsity my Freshmen year. So I spent early mornings in the gym and worked all summer and now I start on the Varsity team at my school. I've gotten a lot better, but it's not good enough. My Field Goal Percentage could be a lot better overall and I have to work on in-game decision making because I lead my team in turnovers. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm a very hard worker and I won't stop working. I'm different from other recruits because I wasn't exposed to basketball at a young age and I've had to learn many things on my own. I've definitely come a long way from when I started, but there's still a lot to improve on and I won't stop until I have done just that.
