Good afternoon Coaches and scouts,
My name is Jalen Pizarro, and I want to thank you for taking the time to consider my profile here of NCSA. I know that being a college coach is a very demanding position, and I will not take too much of your time up.
Here is a little about myself. I currently live in Las Vegas Nevada, and I am a rising Junior graduating year of 2019. From a very young age I knew that I wanted to play competitively at the college level. My aspiration is to play at a D1 OR D2 level, however, the education strength of the university is very important to me.
As a player, I am extremely committed to the defensive end of the floor, and it has given me great opportunities on the offensive end. I play varsity as a freshman and led the team in steals (4.1 per) and it attributed to me being the second leading scorer on my team (27.5 ppg).
As a candidate for a college program, I am committed to something that Jaylen Brown told me during a summer training session "DO A LITTLE MORE THAN EVERYONE ELSE ALL THE TIME” my work ethic never fades.
That work ethic does not stop on the court but for me begins in the classroom, and at home. My parents continue to support me with shooting, drills, ball handling coach’s workouts every day and strength and conditioning every other day to improve my physical ability to play.
Academically I hold a solid 3.1 GPA and continue to strive to increase that with a close relationship with my teachers and daily tutoring to keep me on task.
Professionally I am aspiring to play basketball at a professional level, and I know that playing for a strong Collegiate program can help me reach that goal, however, I am just as driven and hungry to become a Sports Medicine physician. I love the idea of being able to keep athletes at the top of their game physically. I am also interested in following in my fathers footsteps as a Business Owner.
I enjoy playing video games, reading comic books and hanging out with my family. I also enjoy going to our church youth group and watching WWE wrestling.
Thank you for taking time to read this short introduction of myself to you, and I hope we can continue the conversation voice to voice when the time comes.
