Keith Brown '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Victor Keith Brown IV, but I have always gone by my middle name, Keith.  I go to Pelham High School in Pelham, NH and am a member of the class of 2016.  I have been playing for Coach Matt Regan's Varsity Basketball team since my freshman year.  I have started every game except the very first two games of my freshman year.  Since I was very young, I have loved the game of basketball and always dreamed of playing in High School and College.  I had the same dream of every little boy playing basketball hoping that I would make it to the NBA some day.  My goal is to play collegiate basketball at a competitive level where I can bring my talents to a team and where I can learn from that team. 
I have always been a competitive person - with the opposing team, with my teammates, with my brother, and with myself.  I always want my next moment to be better than my last moment in everything that I do.  I also want to help make my teammates better in any way that I can help.   In school, I am a good student, striving for the honor roll every semester.  I challenge myself by taking Level 1 and Honors courses as often as possible.  I am a member of the Peer Outreach group at my school and in that organization I work to help students at my school in any area that they request help.   I was also chosen to attend my local HOBY Leadership conference this year where I was inspired to think of ways to make a difference in my community and within myself.  
In college, I would like to major in Education with a concentration in Special Education.  Working with children, especially those with special needs, is both challenging and rewarding.  I would love to figure out a way to bring sports into the world of Special Education to potentially reach children that are struggling the most.  Seeing them smile when they accomplish their goal would make it perfect for me.
