My aspiration is to play on a Top 64 Division 1 Basketball team in the United States. While at college, I know the critical importance of completing my degree and continuing to improve my game. My overall goal is to excel at school while taking basketball as far it can go for me.
My coaches have praised me for following direction well, being unselfish and seeing the court well. I really love helping everyone on my team perform their best by raising their energy levels and helping them score. I encourage my teammates to play hard even when we are down and am willing to put myself on the line for my team. I've had good opportunities to improve my game in a number of competitive settings including an AAU travel team that competed in an Adidas Invitational tournament (Indiana), Division 1 rep, Ontario Summer Games and high school sophomore teams.
I've been training for and playing competitive sports my whole life. This has helped me academically as I know how to effectively time manage, having to balance my school work and training schedules. I also credit my academic success to the ability to focus on the task in front of me and being a quick learner.
I have a very strong value system, I work hard both academically and in basketball and am willing to make difficult sacrifices to realize my dreams.
Overall, I am dedicated to being successful in basketball and academically.
