Isaac Bejarano '11 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Isaac Bejarano. I live in Hagerman, New Mexico where I am a 17 yr old senior in high school this year. My height is 5'10 and I weigh 170 pounds. Our school is a 1A school district. I would have to say that I am an all around athlete. I started playing basketball at the age of 4 yrs old on little league teams and baseball and football at the age 7 yrs old also on little league teams. My eighth grade year, I played on the varsity high school team. I've been one of the five starters on the high school varsity team ever since. My freshman year, I received freshman of the Year 1A through 5A award. Sophomore year, I received a scoring award of 546 points in a season, also an MVP award, as well as a 56 point award in a tournament I played in. Junior year, I received an MVP award in the same tournament I played in as my sophomore year. I also received, 645 points in a season, All District and All State First Team awards. I am always the first on the court and the last to leave. Being a team leader has taught me to work as a team and look out for my teammates, because there is no "I" in team. What I am looking for in college is to get a good education and to improve my game in the sport that I love the most, basketball. I am looking to major in Education, like a history teacher or physical education. I want to become a high school basketball coach and then maybe move on to a college basketball coach. I have always dreamt about attending and playing college basketball for as long as I can remember. It would mean so much to me to do both. I would like to attend college close to home. Like New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas or Utah. My goal is to get a good education and to be able to make an impact on the team and get some playing time.
