I am a hard-working, dedicated, and very coachable basketball player. My length, quickness and shooting ability make me a tough match up for opposing defenses and an asset as I am able to play the two, three or four position. I am predominantly right handed but can shoot with my left hand as well. I have been fortunate to have Coach John Konowitz as a family friend and he has personally trained and coached me for over 4 years. Coach Konowitz was the Head Coach at SUNY New Paltz and is now the Asst. Coach at SUNY Plattsburgh. I keep myself in top physical shape by working out and lifting weights daily. I am a three year Varsity starter and two year Captain of my team.
The highlight of my career was playing in the New York State Public High School final four my sophomore year, for the first time in my school's history. It was a great learning experience playing against a team from Buffalo with a great deal of talent. Although my team lost, this experience taught me that I need to work harder then ever if I hope to fulfill my dream of playing basketball at the college level. It made me even more dedicated to the Sport I have enjoyed and loved for years and I am willing to work and practice hard in an effort to reach my full potential.
I was honored to score my 1000th career point this year and broke my school's single game scoring record, that had been in place for 52 years, when I scored 54 points against Northeastern Clinton. I was fortunate to make 8 three point field goals and outscored our opposition on my own.
Academically I am in the top 13 in my class with a 94 overall average. I have taken honors classes for two years and will have completed 24 credit hours of College classes during my high school career. My hard work was recognized in 2014-15 by being accepted in the National Honor Society where I now hold the position of co-president. I want to continue playing basketball and focus on my education while attending college and with my busy High School schedule I am certain that I can manage both at the next level.
