Personal Statement
My favorite basketball play is the assist. You can see it in my videos. I love to push the ball up the floor and find an open teammate. Nothing makes me happier than to serve my teammates by helping them shine. Teams need guys who will be great teammates.
I am the type of player who does the little things to help a team win. Defense, rebounding, assists, loose balls, leadership. I work hard on my game and in the weight room, 2-3x a day. Early morning workouts, after school workouts, and after practice workouts. I love to work and lead by example.
I am interested in majoring in graphic design and interactive (web) design. I already have many clients with my graphic design business (www.behance.net/henry-alvarez), including a church (www.cvchurch.com) and a premium national brand of chicken (www.jidorichicken.com). My goal is to work for an NBA team or the league office after I graduate with a design degree.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, spent my senior HS year in the Midwest (Gering, Nebraska), and will do a post-grad year in New York (Storm King School). I am ready for any culture or climate!
