Brandon Mercado '10 Recruiting Profile

Player of the Year, Recorder of NY, MVP of Section II Class B Western Athletic Conference, Section II Class B Champs and First Team All Star. 6'2 195lbs and still growing. I can shoot lights out, make difficult shots, all while defending the best player on the opposing team - often with a steal. This is something I have done all year and I love the game! I want to be the go to guy but, I will work my way into that position because I know in life nothing is owed, success must be earned. I am team captain on a 23-0 Sectional Champ team and the leading scorer and #1 defender. I work hard on and off the court including the class room. Everyday I work to improve my game, shooting, agility, endurance and speed. I play basketball even in my sleep! When game time is critical I know what to do and where to be and will work hard every game to come out on top. As a family we have financial need according to the FAFSA and understand college is the key to success. Accounting is my intended major with an MBA as my ultimate academic goal.
