Hi,


My passion is for higher academics, pursue engineering/math and of course basketball which is my dream.

I am a very honest,  kind , happy,  loving young man always looking to reach my potential in academics and

athletic ability.  I have been in the national jr. honor society, currently in honor society and finished my freshman and sophmore years with a 97 overall average. I currently hold a 98.5 average in my junior year and am ranked second in my class.

I have played sports since 3 years old, which include soccer, football, a lot of baseball and of course my

favorite basketball, which I play year round either with elite aau teams or summer leagues. I have been to aau nationals and have won many player of the tournament awards.

  I was selected 2018 All tri valley class A first team and all MOHAWK VALLEY.   Was second team all star, tri valley as sophmore 2016-17.     Also, was invited to participate in the Oneida county ny all star game. My stats were very good during my sophmore year and even better as a junior.  Not only can I score, but was one of the top assist and rebounding players also.  Great court vision. Have played all five positions, including point guard.

 I also enjoy teaching kids the game during the season, being a role model and most important teaching sportsmanship.


I am currently in a weight strengthening program to help me further myself on the court as well as learning all the health and nutritional habits.    I am becoming a role model on and off the court.  Hard work and dedication as well as having a very high basketball IQ will make my potential limitless.

  • Article from my high school when I was moved up from jv, first home game (2nd since being moved up) Boys Varsity Basketball Team Wins on Senior Night. Video is on HS sight. The Whitesboro Boys Varsity Basketball team is going to look very different next year. The team, which carries 11 players, is graduating seven seniors. But, before they depart, the team still has one goal in mind - - a deep run in sectionals. The Warriors took another step in the right direction toward that goal by beating Oneida 48-39, at home, on Senior Night, on February 8. Senior Night The win was the fifth in a row for Whitesboro (13-7) to close out the regular season. Oneida falls to 11-8 overall with the loss. Points were tough to come by all game long. Both teams played strong defense and struggled to hit shots from the floor. At the end of the first quarter, Oneida led Whitesboro 13-9. At halftime, Oneida only led Whitesboro 18-16. The Warriors finally took charge in the third quarter thanks to a spark from an unlikely source - - freshman Tommy Morreale. The junior varsity player, who just moved up to varsity for sectionals, was plugged into the game by Coach Garrett Herthum at the start of the quarter, helping Whitesboro outscore Oneida 18-9 and go up 34-27. Morreale finished his impressive varsity debut with 9 points. Meanwhile, senior Nate Salisbury scored 11 points and seniors Brian Passiatore and Jimmy Bushey each chipped in 9 points. Whitesboro’s leading scorer on the season, Josh Gregory, was held to 5 points. Josh Hood led Oneida with 16 points, while Jeffrey Coulter added 13 points.   • Tommy scores 32 impressive points in loss:Rome beats Whitesboro for fourth straight Published Jan 28, 2017 at 4:00pm Playing in its second road game in as many nights, the Rome Free Academy boys basketball team locked down a 93-86 Tri-Valley-League victory over Whitesboro on Friday night. TJ Behlin scored a team-high 27 points for the Black Knights, who have won four straight games. Tristan Hunzinger and Ethan Powell chipped in 15 and 14 points, respectively, while Gavin Mosher finished with 13. Tommy Morreale scored a game-high 32 points for the Warriors. RFA is 12-2 overall, 6-1 in the TVL. The Black Knights are back in action at home on Tuesday night for another TVL matchup with New Hartford. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

LOCAL CELEBRITIES CHARITY BASKETBALL GAME All Funds Raised Will Support Joseph’s Experience to Help Sick Children in Our Community Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol and Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri today announced that the 5th annual Cops vs. Local Celebrities Charity Basketball Game will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 5:30 pm at Proctor High School in Utica. The game will peg fifteen law enforcement members from Oneida and Herkimer Counties against the area’s local leaders, business owners, and media personalities. This year’s recipient of the funds raised will be Joseph’s Experience - whose mission is to help children and families struck by severe illness. There will also be an Oneida County Youth Bureau game and boys & girls High School All Star game that will showcase some of Oneida Counties best high school basketball players.   • Warriors say good-Knight to Rome’s 16-game streak Published Feb 10, 2018 at 4:10pm Kenny Kudrewicz Sports writer After tying a school record by winning 16 games in a row, the Rome Free Academy boys basketball team couldn’t push it to 17. The Black Knights couldn’t make a 20-point lead hold up on Friday night as they went down to a 76-73 home loss to Tri-Valley League foe Whitesboro. “I think we started out really well,” RFA head coach Nick Medicis said. “We shot the ball extremely well in the first quarter and got ourselves a comfortable lead. Then we fell victim to a pace game.” Rome, 16-3 overall and 10-1 in the league, wraps up the regular season on Tuesday night when the Black Knights host TVL rival Proctor High of Utica at 7. Whitesboro improved to 12-6 overall and 6-5 in the TVL. The Black Knights jumped out to a 31-11 lead at the end of the first quarter after Whitesboro scored the first four points of the game. RFA received an early gift from Whitesboro after one of its players tried to save a loose ball going out of bounds and flipped it behind his back, and the ball sailed into the basket. Damien Call was credited with the basket for Rome on the play. Over the course of the next three quarters, the Warriors chipped away at RFA’s lead. Midway through the second quarter, RFA extended its lead to 37-17 after Dante Cummings hit a three-pointer with 4:50 remaining in the first half. Whitesboro went on an 13-0 run to close out the first half trailing 37-30. Midway through the third quarter, RFA held a 10-point lead at 44-34 after Ethan Powell had his layup fall through the bottom of the net. The Warriors kept chipping away and pulled the game to four with the score at 49-45 with just over two minutes to go in the third. “Early on, we were able to get points off of our press,” Medicis said. “When we weren’t scoring, we couldn’t put our press on and shots that were going in, weren’t going in. To their credit, they kept fighting and made some nice adjustments against our press.” RFA was able to extend its lead back up to nine points after TJ Behlin made a pair of free throws and Call went coast-to-coast and was able to draw the foul. After making both the layup and free throw, RFA led 54-45 with 1:56 remaining in the third quarter. After Call’s three-point play, Whitesboro scored six points to end the quarter down 58-51. In the fourth, the two squads traded buckets early on, but with 4:41 remaining in the game, Whitesboro’s Collin McAndrew buried a three-pointer that brought the score to 61-60, still in favor of the hosts. After a brief scoring drought, Call was able to knock down the front end of a 1-and-1 to make it 62-60, and Whitesboro’s Avery Cook tied the game after he hit a layup with 3:37 remaining. Whitesboro took the lead for good on their next possession after Lucas Pasquarelli knocked down a three to make the game 65-62 with 3:01 to go. The Warriors extended their lead to 70-62, completing a 17-1 run. In the closing seconds, with Whitesboro winning, 72-65 after Tommy Morreale hit two free throws for his game-high 29 points, Behlin had an old-fashioned three-point play go his way for the Black Knights after hitting a layup and the free throw, to bring the game to 72-68 with 42.9 seconds remaining. Call also added a three-point play for RFA with 19.4 seconds to go to make the game 73-71, but when the Warriors needed free throws, they got them. Cook made one free throw and Morreale hit a pair to close out the scoring. Behlin hit a late layup with 11.7 seconds left and Call’s potential game-tying three at the buzzer fell short. Behlin scored a team-high 22 points for RFA, both Powell and Cummings finished with 16 points and Call added 12. Cook finished with 12 points for Whitesboro. “Hats off to Whitesboro,” Medicis said. “It’s a rivalry game so records go out the window, but I’m proud of my team. We kept fighting and we made it a one-point game with 15 seconds to go and we gave ourselves a chance to win. We’ve been short-handed all year it seems like with injuries and anything else that can happen. But we’ve put ourselves in positions to win games, but tonight, the shots didn’t fall.” RFA played Friday night’s game without senior captain Tristan Hunzinger, who sat out due to an injury sustained in the Black Knights’ previous game at New Hartford. “In the first quarter, I didn’t think anything was going to go right for us,” Whitesboro head coach Garrett Herthum said. “I wasn’t questioning our effort. We were just turning the ball over and they were catching it in rhythm and getting the shots that they wanted. Credit them, they were hitting some deep threes. That’s what they do and we’ll live with it, but we buckled down the next three quarters and played good defense.” Herthum said the Black Knights will be a force in the upcoming Section III playoffs. “They’re a good team,” he said. “They’re going to make a run in sectionals. Chittenango, N.Y. >> In the opening round of Chittenango Holiday Basketball Tournament, the hosting Bears were hot from beyond the arc, connecting on 14 3-pointers en route to a first round win over Solvay. Thursday night in the championship game against Whitesboro, Chittenango lost its rhythm from deep, connecting on just six 3-pointers. Going cold from the three-point line coupled with an 18-point performance from Whitesboro’s Tommy Morreale was enough to doom the Bears as the Warriors captured the tournament championship. “Last night we shot the lights out. Tonight, we didn’t shoot the ball very well,” Chittenango coach John Clancy said. “They are long, they are athletic, they are a good team and they made things difficult for us.” Zach Falkenbburg led all scorers with 23 points and was named to the all-tournament team. “He’s very good at going downhill and creating shots for other guys on his team, so our main goal was to stop his dribble penetration and force other guys to go downhill,” Whitesboro coach Garrett Herthum said. Joining Falkenburg was teammate Dylan Voutsinas who finished with seven points on the night after going for 23 the night before. “We told our guys it was going to come down to defense. I don’t know if it was an offensive struggle or defensive battle tonight. I think both teams did not shoot as well as we thought they could, but at the end of the day, we tell our guys defense is going to win games.” Tournament MVP belonged to Morreale, and teammate Cameron Hunter also earned all-tournament honors. The first half was a seesaw battle with six lead changes and two ties. Heading into intermission, Whitesboro and Chittenango were knotted up at 20-20. Coming out of the break, Whitesboro grabbed a quick score on a bucket from Morreale for a 22-20 lead. Neither team scored again until the 5:22 mark when Rashad Alfahad hit one of two from the charity stripe for a 23-20 Whitesboro lead. Sam Hill answered with a score in the paint for Chittenango and Falkenburg followed with a fastbreak layup off of a steal to help Chittenango retake the lead at 24-23. Whitesboro came roaring back with a 3-pointer from Zach Britt, followed by an and-1 play from Avery Cook for a 29-24 Warrior lead with 2:40 left in the third. Paul Wood responded with a three for Chittenango, but back-to-back layups by Whitesboro pushed the hosts’ advantage to 33-27 entering the third. The opening minute of the fourth quarter belonged to Falkenburg and Britt as the two players exchanged a series of impressive makes. Falkenburg started it with driving score before Britt answered with a corner three. On Chittenango’s next possession, Falkenburg drove the lane again with a successful outcome, but Britt raced down the court for another lay-in. Falk finished the exchange with a bucket and a foul, converting the old-fashioned three-point play to trim Whitesboro’s lead to four at 38-34 with 7:01 remaining to cap off the flurry of scores. Consecutive long-range makes from Wood and Falkenburg on Chittenango’s next two possessions tied the game at 40-40 with three minutes remaining in the contest. Morreale lived up to his tournament honors down the stretch, scoring six of Whitesboro’s next seven points to close out the Bears on a 7-1 run for an 47-41 victory, while the visitors’ defense wouldn’t allow Chittenango any breathing room beyond the arc for a comeback. “We gutted it out, and forced them to take hard shots,” Herthum said.

So it was no big shock when the finale between Tri-Valley League rivals Whitesboro and New Hartford went down to the final two minutes. In what was a battle between the two schools’ superstars, Whitesboro’s Tommy Morreale and New Hartford’s Frankie Policelli, it was the sophomore who would come out on the winning end. Morreale’s 28 points would give the Warriors a lead they would relinquish only once throughout the whole game, earning the sophomore MVP honors and Whitesboro a 47-39 victory. That’s just how we won it tonight.” “Hopefully this will be a confidence builder for them,” Warriors head coach Garrett Herthum said. “We let some slip in the middle, but we came together. Our kids played hard. We told them before the game, ‘Play as hard as you can for as long as you’re in the game.” From the outset, the Warriors not only played hard, they made it hard for the Spartans to even get their first points. Whitesboro’s stifling defense helped the Warriors jump out to an 8-0 lead early in the first quarter. At the same time, New Hartford stumbled out of the gate, as their first five trips down the floor ended in turnovers. The Spartans would go a little less than three minutes without a basket, until a Frankie Policelli layup stopped the Warriors’ run at eight. After that, it was the Warriors’ turn to go cold, only scoring two points since Policelli’s basket. As a matter of fact, Frankie would be the only player in the scorebook after one period, scoring all five of the Spartans’ points. On the other side, Morreale would be the only player with multiple points, scoring eight as his Warriors went into the break up 13-5. New Hartford’s Frankie Policelli knocked down 24 points for the Spartans, but on this play he also knocked down Noah Britt of Whitesboro and was called for a charge. Whitesboro would take even longer, going almost two and a half minutes without a point before a Morreale jumper ended their drought. However, the Spartans still could not take advantage, as the lead hovered in the high single digits for most of the period. For the rest of the period, Policelli and Morreale would square off under the basket for most of the night, the sophomore taking the advantage over the junior most of the time. “[Policelli is] going places,” Herthum said. “We knew we had to contain him tonight, and we did our best. Despite that, the junior still managed to be the only one on the score sheet for New Hartford. Policelli would put in another 11 for the Spartans in the second period, knocking down both of the team’s free throws in the first half. Whitesboro was able to spread the ball around a little bit better, as Morreale racked up 16 of his team’s points. However, despite the singlehanded performance from Policelli, the Spartans’ sloppy play continued to haunt them as they went into the locker room down 26-16. It would be almost another two minutes into the third quarter before another Spartan would score, as a layup by Joe Murray would end an almost-18 minute drought. However, they couldn’t make up any ground on the Warriors, as they continued to turn over the ball and commit unforced fouls. The bad news would continue to pile up for New Hartford, as by the middle of the third quarter, starters Policelli and senior Troy Henderson were already saddled with their fourth foul. Despite all that, the Spartans managed to outscore Whitesboro 9-7 in the quarter, helped along by a long three-pointer by senior Ryan Zogby. Suddenly, Whitesboro’s 8-0 run at the beginning of the game was proving to be the difference, as the Warriors headed into the break clinging to a 33-25 lead. However, the Spartans began to find their spark in the final quarter, as they would start out the final period with an 8-0 run, helped along by another three-pointer by Zogby to bring New Hartford within one. A free throw by Murray would send the Warriors into their time-out with the score all even. “We told them to expect them to go on a run,” Herthum said. “We withstood theirs and we had ours.” “We all came out together and played as a team,” Morreale said. “We played a great team and they weren’t ready for us.” Not only did the Warriors have to withstand the New Hartford (4-6, 1-3 TVL Colonial) run, they also had to withstand a drought of over three minutes without a point. However, a layup by junior Cameron Hunter would give the Warriors back the lead, a lead they would never relinquish from then on. From there, the New Hartford players began to foul in desperation, trying to slow down the game clock, but Whitesboro (6-4, 2-2 TVL Colonial) hit their free throws down the stretch to put the Spartans away for good. Morreale only contributed four points in the quarter, but by that time, the MVP of the game only needed to sit back and relish the victory. “We told them all week defense was going to win the game for us,” Herthum said. But just like their game tonight, Morreale said, they have a simple plan. “We [are] focused on this game and what we need to do to win,” Morreale said. With Morreale at the helm, extending that streak to four shouldn’t be too much of a problem.   • AAU team from rome, NY, qualified for nationals for 14 yr olds in Hampton VA. Team went 3-3 with only 7 players. Played all 5 positions including point guard when our point guard got injured. Averaged about 20 pts per game.

  • As a freshman was chosen as a top 10 player for nys empire state game tryouts which included about 15 class AA and class A-C schools, 9th through 12th graders, was picked to go onto the second round which included all Syracuse players. So, the tri valley area schools, grades 9-12 I was considered a top 10 high school player.
