Basketball has been a passion of mine since I was a young child. I grew up with amazing parents and two older brothers, one of which went to play Division 1 basketball. They have both taught me so much and have been there with me every step of the way. I've committed to countless hours of getting better on the court, as well as working on becoming stronger so I can be ready for the next level. I have a great skillset in which I am able to use my handle to make plays for my teammates, score the ball in various ways, and also defend the opposing teams ball handler at a high level. I'm a leader who motivates my teammates, and makes sure that, collectively, we're all giving our best effort into everything we do. I know how to create strong bonds with my teammates/coaches, which makes me an appreciable person to have on a basketball program.
School always comes first. My parents have instilled in me a great discipline to work hard in both school and sports. I never take basketball for granted and I understand that without school, you can't play basketball at a high level. Thus, it's always a personal goal of mine to be the best student-athlete I can be in order to make my family, and myself happy.
I hope to go to a school that is the right fit for me. This is a big decision and I want to make sure I can go somewhere where I'm able to thrive both in academics, and in basketball. My goals for college are to pursue my academic career, meet new people, and of course, help the team win games. I want to grow not only as a player, but also as a person. Ultimately, I believe that I will add tremendous value to any program, and I hope to exhibit that throughout my time in college.
