Personal Statement

Personal Statement-Kyle Edwards

My name is Kyle Edwards and I am a senior at Norwich High School in Norwich NY.  I am 6’3”, approximately 175 pounds and have a passion for sports in particular football and basketball.   During the 2011 season, I started at Point Guard and also played Shooting Guard. Our team won the sectional championship game, a significant accomplishment that we were all very proud of.  In that game I was recognized as the MVP of the game and at the end of the season I also received All State, All Section, and All-County honors.

My most recent grade point average is 97.6 and I rank 5th in my class of 167 students.  During my academic career at NHS, I have taken a several Honors and AP classes and have held leadership roles in student government and other service committees and organizations.

I am just getting started in my college selection process.  My desire is to pursue playing athletics in college and I am open to exploring all opportunities that are available to me.  Although I remain undecided officially in a major, I have an interest in Physical Therapy and Exercise Science.  I wish to be a student athlete in a mid-size or larger University on the East Coast or Mid Atlantic region that is academically challenging.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
