I have been playing basketball since it was possible for me to pick up the ball, and I have been constantly improving. I have almost always played with people that are older than me because it was more of a challenge and I knew it would make me a better player. I was moved up to varsity as an eighth grader in my school, and started as a freshman. I was the role player during my first two years on varsity, as there were students older than me that had earned their time to be the man. This past year and next year however, it is my responsibility to lead the team, and I believe that I am very capable of doing so. On the court I am a straight up competitor, I want to win, but even more so I hate to lose. This mentality of mine is present in the classroom as well.
I am very committed to everything I do, both athletically and educationally. I have maintained a high GPA throughout my entire grade school and high school career and I plan to continue that streak, along with being a committed athlete, at the collegiate level. I put in the work to be the best student and athlete I can be, and I do whatever is necessary to make the environment that I am in better. I am a level headed athlete and student, but also energetic and fun when the occasion permits such behavior. I do whatever is necessary for the betterment of myself and a team at my current high school level, and I am entirely capable of doing so at your college as well.
