Personal Statement
Hello my name is Brendan Lebitsch. I have been playing basketball since I was 8 years old. Starting from town leagues, then moving to my first AAU team the Playmaker Pumas, and after that to another AAU team the Nor'East Lightning. This year I am currently attending school and playing basketball at John F Kennedy Catholic High School. I'm different from many other athletes. I constantly make sure that I am on top of my game. I'm always willing to take tips and learn from others to become more successful. I take pride in practice as I'm aware it affects my gameplay. In addition, I'm a team player as well as a good character on and off the court. I respect all my teammates. I know I need them to win that I can't do it by myself. I understand that at certain times, I need to give up the ball and believe in my teammates. Furthermore, I am a leader on the court. I am always motivating my team and willing to take charge in any situation. As a point guard I am a playmaker. I know I need to make big plays that are key to leading us to victory. Basketball is a huge part of my life but my academics are my top priority. I know if I wanna continue to play high school and then college basketball, I need to maintain good grades. I always strive to make sure my grades are exceeding the expectations. Playing college basketball has been a main goal throughout my life. I intend to maintain achieving this goal over the course of my high school career.
