Dakoda Smith '20 Recruiting Profile

Since I was 7, sports has always been my passion. I’ve always aspired to become a collegiate athlete, and eventually going professional. Growing up, no matter what was happening around me, I always felt most in touch with myself when I was on the court or field. I have always done my best to lead, encourage, and play with all my heart: traits that I hope to bring to a collegiate team. Sports may be a game to people, but for me it has always been the place where I felt like my leadership was impacting the lives of others. Becoming a collegiate athlete is a challenge that I’m ready to tackle and excel at. Balancing academics and sports took immense dedication and a lot of hard work. But the passion I have for sports pushes me to thrive academically to be able to continue to be what I love most: an athlete. I’m looking forward to doing that again on a more advanced level.
