At a very early age my parents exposed me to a variety of sports and through these experiences, I developed a strong passion for basketball. Ever since I touched the ball I've aspired to go to the next level and desire to play in college. On the court, my strongest skills are shooting mid-range jump shots, being a threat at the free throw line, fighting through traffic in the post, and the ability to adjust quickly defensively. In addition to this, I have a high basketball IQ. My HS coach has also told me I have soft hands, shot blocking and passing as my strengths. I always try to set a good example on the court by communicating well, encouraging my teammates, and creating an atmosphere of unity. My peers would describe me as fun-loving and a bit of a jokester on and off the court. I'm open to constructive feedback to help me learn from my mistakes. I'm pretty easy-going. However, I'm willing to work as hard as I need to, to achieve success.
During school, I strive to maintain a high GPA despite the rigorous schedule of workouts and conditioning. I also volunteer at Elevation Church (Matthews Campus) on the parking team every other Saturday night. I just recently served on the Leadership team for our Love Boldy Missions Week at my school while serving the local community. I also have a job taking care of my neighbors' pets as well as landscaping.
I desire to go to a college or university where I can earn a great education while playing basketball, my heart's passion. I will continue to strive to be a great example to the next generation of basketball players.
