  • Tristen Reese, 6’2016 PG at Mt Zion Christian – I can’t help but like this kid. For one, you won’t find a much nicer kid out there in the gym most days but he can play too. Every time I have seen this kid go you can tell that he is the one in charge of the flow out on the floor, something I LOVE to see in a PG. His offense comes and goes right now and he can have a tendency to throw the pretty pass at times versus the right one but the kids plays D, runs a team, and takes charge out on the floor. All of these are traits you HAVE to have out of your PG out on the floor. I got to see him go for a half with his team last weekend and in that time he had like 4-5 steals and was just a general pain in the rear to the other team. His offense has to come around and be more consistent going forward but everything else about this kids game and personality is hard not to like. I always enjoy watching him go.

  • Tristen Reese, 6’ guard at Cresset Christian – I love this kids game. He is not the fastest of guards but he can scoot well enough to hang with most guards he faces. He is not the most physical of guards but he gives as well as he takes. He is not the flashiest of kids but he makes all the plays he needs at the right time. I can give you a lot of things that he is not but none of that really matters. This kid is a leader, a gamer, and a true floor general that will do all he can to outwork you and get the win. He showed the ability to adapt to whoever is put around him and make them look good in the process. He is always going to give you a good assist to turnover ratio and is a steady source for offense when needed. His outside shot needs to be more consistent and I’d love to see him grow some more but he is the kind of leader that any coach would love out on the floor running their team.

  • #37 5’11 ’16 Tristen Reese of Cresset Christian Academy, NC: Tristen is one of those “tough as nails” guards that will give you effort and energy. He is a really good shooter and can make things happen on the offensive end of the floor. We were impressed with his ability to be aggressive offensively, but play within the team structure. The next step for Tristen is to fine-tune is PG skills to further enhance his development and potential.

  • 5’11 2016 Tristen Reese of Cresset Christian Academy in Durham, NC Tristen is another young player to put in your SIM card. He has excellent speed and lateral quickness. Coach Myrick stated, “ Tristen is a talented young man who has a chance to play college basketball. He can be a very good ball handler but tends to over dribble at times. As he learns to use the dribble more efficiently, he will see tremendous improvements. He has a scorer’s mentality, but had a blend of scoring and passing.” The next step in his development is mental maturity with improved attitude when facing adversity. If he continues to work hard and become more efficient, he has a chance to be a really strong player.

  • #95 5’8 2016 Tristen Reese of Durham, NC: Reese is a solid young PG that has good athleticism and his physical intangibles/attributes are ahead of his current skill set which is normal for freshmen. He is a strong on the ball defender and has good team defensive understanding of the game. As he grows and develops, an improved skill set will be a great compliment to his speed and quickness.
