I began playing basketball when I was 4 or 5 years old. I joined my first AAU team when I was 11. As the youngest player on the team, I was frustrated because I usually warmed the bench. This is when my love for the sport and determination to be the best player I could be on the court really started. I went from warming the bench to leading my team in scoring in my freshman year. Watching my single mom sacrifice for me and my brothers and sister has also had an impact on my desire to work hard and be the best person I can be on and off the court. I am a honor roll student that just got invited to be a member of Beta Club. Academics are just as important to me as my sport. I hope to attend a 4 year college to study and play basketball. My interest at this time is kinesiology.
