Hello, my name is Trent Wakefield. I live in Granite Falls, North Carolina and attend South Caldwell High School. I will graduate in June, 2014. My dream is to actively compete in basketball at the collegiate level. I have been playing organized basketball since the age of 5. During my high school years, I have played both basketball and baseball while maintaining a straight A average. Prior to high school, I played in the point guard position. After entering high school, I developed into a shooting guard. I now possess the skills to play either position at the next level. My best offensive weapon is the three point shot. I am very consistent in knocking down the perimeter shot. In order to improve my play, I have also developed into a slashing guard. I have been a varsity starter for the past two years and currently serve as Captain of my team. I choose to lead by example, working hard each and every day. I also have worked very hard in the classroom, therefore academics is a priority in the school I choose. I have a great understanding of the game but hope to learn new things daily in order to improve my game. I hope to make a positive impact on my college team.
