Personal Statement
My hard work ethic off the court shows up in both games and the classroom. My overall grades in honors classes are a result of the dedication to studying and learning new things. I apply this same work ethic to learning offenses and defense sets for the team. Once I learn the sets for my team, my basketball IQ allows me to make differences on the court that other players are not able to execute. My long frame and strength at the tips of my reach allow for defense plays and rebounding that show up on the stat sheet every game. Communication on the court drives a team concept defense and offense that challenges opposing teams to compete against a team I represent.
My work ethic outside of game time, strength and conditioning work as well as skill work, has me in a gym six to seven days a week. I also watch film on my game with mentors to help me identify areas for improvement. I take these learnings and push my team during practice to work harder to have better outcomes. I would look forward to any challenge and want to be part of an organization that is based on solid work as well as competing at the highest level.
