I have been raised in Western North Carolina in the small town of Sylva, and I have been fortunate that many core values still exist in my community. My parents instilled honesty and integrity above all else in life. No matter the situation honesty is the best policy. Another core value I have learned is to help those in need. My family has done this on numerous occasions and the reward is far beyond any monetary value. I am interested in the field of Criminal Justice and would like to be a District Attorney/Prosecutor. This will require a law degree and I am well aware of the time, dedication, and GPA requirements to attend law school. Both of my parents are in law enforcement and they have always encouraged me to do my best and to reach my full potential. As a result of my parents' dedication to their communities, they taught me to "never quit" no matter the circumstances. My parents' have helped me develop good social skills and by giving me the opportunity to travel and play basketball with and compete against individuals from various backgrounds, this has allowed me to development as an individual. I am very driven and during the summer of 2014 and 2015 and currently during the spring/summer of 2016, I have and continue with my basketball workouts 6 days per week for 4 to 6 hours per day. My dedication sets me apart from many other players in that I am driven and strive to excel in everything I do. Basketball has been my life for the past 10 years and I genuinely love the game. My passion for the game is why I continue to strive to improve on a daily basis. As part of my workout routine, I have competed with and against college players. This has afforded me the opportunity to improve and develop on a different level in preparation for a collegiate career in basketball. I have always been a team player and am well aware that games are won and lost as a team. I have been very fortunate in that I played as point guard for several years and slowly began to grow taller. I then moved to the two(2) and three(3) positions for a few years. I continued to grow taller and am now playing the three(3), four(4), and five(5) positions. This has been a blessing in disguise. I have continued to improve and maintain my ball handling skills and increase my vertical. This has allowed me to be a versatile player that can play several positions on the court and contribute in multiple areas to the success of our team.
