Personal Statement

Basketball has always been a part of my life since I could pick up a ball. I loved going to the park and playing in the basketball court with my dad. He would lift me on his shoulders to shoot baskets. I continued training for basketball by attending Cross Training Basketball camps since I was in 1st grade. I would attend 3 to 4 basketball camps per summer with them. My goal is to reach the highest level of basketball I can.   I am good in the classroom and take pride in getting good grades, and want to pursue a degree in teaching or coaching.  As far as being a basketball player,  I am a player who gives effort on both sides of the floor.  I am smart offensively but have the ability to get aggressive at the right time.  As for the defensive side,  I am a very good defender.  I am very energetic on the defensive end and can guard the 1 to the 3.  I am also a team player. When I get trapped down below the basket I am quick to pass out it out to another team member. I hope to find and play for a school that appreciates the player that I am and will give me the opportunity to expand my education.
