Personal Statement

I am a 6'0" Senior, I weigh 150 pounds. Over the past two to three years I have won several shooting contests. I feel that I bring alot to the team, I work hard I help others I am a team player. I feel that I have a high basketball IQ, due to my basketball knowledge I was chosen as a freshman to practice with the varsity. I put in four to five hours of practice on a daily basis. I was co-captain of my JV team my freshman year. I was third in scoring led my team in assists and free throw percentage, even though I missed 6 games due to medical reasons.I had to have major surgery spring 2010. I had to have The Nuss Procedure done. They had to put a metal bar in my chest to keep it from caving in. I worked very hard to recover in time for the season this year. I am a hard worker in other ways. We had a shoot-a-thon to raise money for our travel gear, shoes, etc. We were asked to raise $4.00 a shot, we were shooting 100 shots. My Freshman year, I raised $10.00 a shot my sophomore year I raised $24.40 a shot. I made 77 out of 100. I brought in $1,878.80  for my team. I have also used my basketball skills doing a shoot-a-thon to raise money for kids with Cancer. In 3 years I have raised over $4000.00, I also instructed a basketball clinic at the Kids n' Kamp (children affected by childhood cancer). I was Captain of the JV and I also dress Varsity. My first game back I came out and put up 22 points. At the end of the season I led my team in scoring, FG%, 3pt%, and FT%. I finished with 45% in FG%. I shot 45.8% from 3pt and my FT% was 80%. I averaged 9.7ppg.This year I transferred schools and played both Jv and Varsity. Our team was Sectional Champs, and District Runners' up. From about the time I was three years old I can always remember wanting to be playing basketball that's what I live, eat and breathe. I want to play collegiate basketball. I want to major in Sports Administration and Athletic Training and I don't really have any restrictions of where I want to attend college. I just want a good education and be able to play ball! My weight lifting stats are blank for my sophomore year not by mistake. I was unable to participate in any weight lifting due to my recovery from surgery. I feel that I would be a great asset to any team.I've also been recently selected as the down under sports 2013 Ohio impact player award where I will be representing my state next Juy in the Australia down under games.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
