Personal Statement

Hi My name is Ronald Smith IV , I hold a GPA of 3.2 out of 4, I am in the class of 2022 , I play the Combo Guard for Thurgood Marshall in Dayton Ohio, made the Varsity team two years in a row! I'm 6'3 still growing 180 lbs that's a short brief bio of me.

My College goals are to make it to the next level academic wise & athletic wise i'm very big on my grades because without grades I wouldn't be able to play the sport I actually love & that's basketball! Grades play an important role on me because I worry about my grades before anything else then basketball comes into the picture honestly.

I'm a good candidate for a team because I'm a great leader, score mentality and can make my teammates around me better people on & off the basketball court, I have a very good work ethic I don't take nothing for granted i'm a straight competitor on the basketball court even in the classroom. When i'm either on or off the court I coach my teammates up whether we down or up buckets! i'm like a second coach when i'm at the point guard position people that's my role to be a floor general and like a second coach honestly that's what makes me a good candidate for a team.

I am very different from other recruiters because I love to stand out & be different from other players because most people think it's all about going Division 1 or die, No to me it's not all about going Division 1 because most people don't get a chance to play college basketball really that's what makes me stand out from other players. Honestly I want to play Division 1 maybe D2 or D3 or even Naia, I will continue to compete anywhere I play at for college basketball because most people don't get the chance to do that! I want to compete at the next level academically & basketball wise that's what make me different from other recruiters.

Academic Accomplishments

Honors Classes:
Yes. Honors courses generally refer to exclusive, higher-level classes that proceed at a faster pace and cover more material than regular classes. To me honestly passing a honors class is an excellent way for high school students to demonstrate their academic competency and discipline to college admissions.
