Personal Statement
Basketball has always been my passion. I started playing when I was 2 years old. I have been determined to play at the collegiate level for as long as I can remember. I feel I have excellent quickness and ball handling skills. I am a strong shooter and can see the floor well. I believe basketball has taught me a great deal about life, such as how to work together with others, problem solve and be determined to set goals and reach them.
I have determination and I strive to work hard in basketball as well. I try to lead by example to be a coachable and a dedicated leader. I have a strong work ethic on and off the court to work daily at improving my skills and encouraging others to strive to meet goals set also. I welcome input that will make me better and strive to be the best that I can be each and every day. As a junior, I have been chosen as a Team Captain. I work to be a team player and leader for our team. It is my goal to make myself and my teammates better.
In the classroom, I work hard to excel and push myself by doing things such as taking college level courses. I have made the all "A" honor roll every quarter in high school and middle school, with the exception of one quarter thus far (when I received a B+). I am a member of our local National Honor Society. Along with striving to excel in the classroom, I enjoy working in the community at local kids camps for soccer and basketball.
I am excited at the prospect of college and continuing my basketball career at the highest level possible. I am open to all collegiate options. I want to prepare myself to be successful in the future work force and love the idea of continuing my basketball career at the same time.
