Personal Statement
Winning the Gold ball at the National Home school Championship was the most memorable moment of my high school basketball career. I haven't always been on top in fact much of my life was spent fighting to achieve every accomplishment I have made. At the age of 12 I was taken into state custody and placed into foster care. Much of the next year I spent in multiple homes, shelters and went to multiple schools before being placed in a foster home at 15 and adopted at nearly 18. It was during my years at home that I became interested in basketball giving me an outlet away from the things I was dealing with. Facing such adversity growing up has given me a drive to be successful in accomplishing my goals and dreams.
My dream is to play college basketball and graduate college with a degree in business and eventually opening my own business. I am a versatile player and willing to learn any position and make myself an asset to the team. I am athletic, dedicated to any task I am given and enjoy being a leader. I lead my team in rebounds, blocks, steals and 2nd in assists. I believe I have skills necessary to compete at a college level, and an ability to learn things quickly making me a great addition to any team.
