Connor Leach '26 Recruiting Profile

I believe what makes me a desirable candidate for your team is that I am a very hard-working point guard with great leadership on and off the court. Some of my strengths are my shooting, ball handling, ability to perform under pressure, IQ, and quickness. Moreover, I love to be challenged and I am a coachable respectful athlete.  I have been fortunate to have had so many supportive coaches in the past few years who have believed in me and encouraged me to follow this path and dream. I promise to the team that accepts me and a coach that believes in me - I will perform and excel. 

I have always been very athletic and good at many sports- but I have a great passion for basketball- that I recognized early in my life.  I believe I know what it takes to get to the next level in creating my dream going D2 or D1 in the states and am willing to give it my best!

There are so many talented athletes that I have been privileged to play ball with and against over my last year at CTA, which has given me a glimpse of what it takes to move forward.  I know it will take the level of commitment I have and hard work and that’s why I literally live in a gym putting in countless hours of work, because I know I have to sharpen up every tool in my bag for this next level. I am also aware I need academic success so I am a studious conscientious student with a high GPA.  Both my parents who I love and care for instilled into me that academic success is just as important as basketball.  My year away for home on the prep team CTA (Canadas top flight academy) proved that I am able to achieve success academically with a rigerous basketball schedule of daily 3 hour intense practices and travelling every weekend to tournaments- something that most children do not achieve until college.  This experience will serve me well and has prepared me for college basketball.   At the end of the day, I believe what separates me as a basketball player in character from other athletes is that my passion for this game of basketball is relentless.  I have grit and determination which I know will lead me to be successful not only on the court but off.  Thank you for taking the time to consider me as a valuable asset to your team.
