Personal Statement
I am a 6'7 Guard/Forward from Ontario, Canada. I pride myself on being a complete two-way player. I take advantage of every opportunity to improve my game, and in the past year I have taken my skills to the next level.
I am a high character, high calibre student athlete. I have an unrelenting work ethic, which encompasses all aspects of my life. I have set high goals for myself academically, and athletically. My goal after completing high school is to find a collegiate institution where I can contribute, and continue to develop as a player. In all challenges that have been put before me, I have taken them head on, and risen to the occasion.
I just completed my first season in the OSBA (https://www.ontariosba.ca/), which is the top Prep basketball league in Canada. I played for the Southwest Basketball Academy (http://www.swfacademy.com). Throughout the season, I lead the team in Scoring, Assists, and Blocked shots, while finishing second in Rebounding. Playing in this league allowed me to be challenged in every game, and take my game to the next level.
After every game and workout, I assess what I need to do in order to continue my development. Outside of team practices, I engage in individual workouts with myself, and also with a trainer to ensure I do not plateau.
In the classroom, I have been consistently an honour roll student. I realise that at some point, the ball will stop bouncing and it is imperative that I have an education to support me in life beyond that of a player.
I am confident that I would be a great asset to any collegiate program. I have achieved a great deal of success at every level, whether it be high school, or AAU. I have competed against the best, and continuously performed at the highest level.
I look forward to continuing to get better, and taking my game to the next level.
