Personal Statement
My name is Ethan Jafri, I’m a 6’3” point guard playing for the 212 Academy in Sarasota, FL. I left my home state of Oregon to attend the post graduate program under the coaching of John Mahoney.
I have been playing basketball since I was 8. Since I first stepped on the court, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I have strong ball handling skills, shooting skills (48% from 3pt), and a high basketball IQ. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of.
Off the court, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. Currently I am a point guard but also play the shooting guard and wing positions. Ultimately I want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all peers and make my parents proud.
