I am only a Freshman in High school but I think I have learned and improved quite a bit physically and mentally through basketball. This has been done mostly during the off season as my work ethic is that of a college athlete. I think I learned the most off the court last year in AAU when my team wasn’t very good, winning only a few games. I had to learn how step up as a leader and cope with most games being tight wins or tough losses. This helped me become more mentally tough and I think that would help any team at the point guard position.
I have had to overcome a lot due to my lack of height a high vertical jump. However, I’ve learned to be tough and get in to the paint and finish or dish the ball off. My game seems to suit any team and I think my talents could improve any team immediately. On top of playing basketball I am a dedicated student who hopes to keep honors grades while attending college. I think that every off season I get better and stronger both mentally and physically. I would love to join any college program in my future.
